During October Prof. Myron Zalucki (his curriculum is available below for download) from the University of Queensland (Australia) will held the first part of his stay as visiting professor of the University of Padova. Prof. Andrea Battisti has organised a cycle of seminars (twice a week), following the schedule reported here below.
October 7 and 9, 2015: “Monarch butterfly conservation and the meaning of risk” (two parts).
October 14 and 16, 2015. “Biology, ecology and management of Helicoverpa sp in Australia” (two parts)
October 20 and 22, 2015. “Biology, ecology and management of Plutella xylostella” (two parts)
October 27, 2015. “Wither or whither IPM” —> broad overview of Insect Pest Management
The seminars will be held at room C10 on the groud floor of the seconda stecca, west stairs, and will start at 11.00.
In addition, Myron will be available for a couple of individual meetings on the days of the seminars with anyone interested. You are invited to meet him and share information and results of ongoing projects, ideas, literature. It will be a wonderful and unique occasion to improve the quality of what we are doing in Padova.
